The Indiana Seed Trade Association (ISTA) is pleased to announce it has retained John Frick and Associates to provide association management and governmental affairs services for the group. Frick and Associates personnel Dick Thompson and Jim Purucker will lead the representation. Effective October 1, 2011, the ISTA’s offices will move to:

Former Senator Dick Thompson will take the lead in representing the ISTA within the Indiana Agriculture community and at the Statehouse. In addition to Dick’s expertise, the ISTA will benefit from the relationships of lobbyists Bart Giesler and Jim Purucker. Frick President Jim Purucker said of the representation: "John Frick and Associates is humbled and proud to have been selected to represent such a prestigious group within the important community of agricultural business in Indiana".
ISTA’s selection of Frick comes at a time of transition for the Association. For over a year, volunteer leaders have conducted all the affairs of the Association. According the Bob Bischoff, ISTA President “Hiring Frick and Associates is the result of over one year of transition by the group and a thorough search process. The members of the seed trade industry in Indiana owe a great deal of thanks to their volunteer leaders who have provided the Association with its direction, management and day to day operations for the last two years." Bischoff went on to say: "The leadership of the ISTA is excited about what the future holds for the group because of the relationship with Frick and Associates."
Frick and Associates is a full service lobbying and association management firm with over 35 years of history representing associations and individual companies in Indiana. The firm has a wide range of interests and relationships which will help the ISTA accomplish its goals. Ryan Mishler, Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee said of the representation: "As Chair of the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, I enjoy a good working relationship with the individuals at Frick and Associates and look forward to working with them on issues of importance to the seed industry in Indiana."

Purpose of the Indiana Seed Trade Association
Membership and active participation in the Indiana Seed Trade Association should be considered a necessity for any person or firm conducting business in the seed industry.
The aims of the Indiana Seed Trade Association are to develop friendly business relations between its members, to promote the legitimate interests of seed trade within the state, and to cooperate with educational and regulatory authorities in the development of sound and effective seed programs in the interests of agriculture.
Historically, Indiana seedsmen have been leaders in many areas of the seed trade. Active involvement of members will help fulfill current and future needs of all seedsmen. The Indiana Seed Trade Association is seeking results, not reasons!
